This quarterly newsletter is meant as a fun free do-it-yourself publication that you can print out and staple and peruse at your leisure in addition to checking out my website every three months. The different color cartoons on the cover of each issue make them collectible. This newsletter is a less expensive alternative to my Lucid Moon Poetry Magazine, which ran in photocopied form from January 1997 to October 1999 and often ran over 300 pages each monthly issue. The magazine cost a ridiculous $1000 a month for 150 paid subscriptions. I actually saved money by buying a photocopy machine and making photocopies and collating it all in marathon 3 day sessions in my basement. It was crazy! I must have been in my manic state! The website costs a fraction of what the magazine did; it’s just $200 a month.
The quarterly Lucid Moon Review Poetry
Newsletter consists of color cartoons by me on the cover, the homepage cartoon
of the wolf howling at the moon which has become my website trademark, my
contact information, different quotes each issue praising my website drawn
from my guest books, a Lucid Moon cartoon drawn by NYC illustrator Nina Bogin
and scripted by me, a Message from Ralphy, poems, short stories, articles
and book reviews. You can print out the homepage newsletter every three months,
staple it, pass it around, and collect em all! You might want to print the
cover on thick stock paper and slap a blank thick stock paper on the back
so your newsletter is more durable. This newsletter is my free gift to the
world.
