Muse and say a word or two for me. your friend in the words, "Bill At The
Wishing Well In Fredericktowne." Dear poetry friends, a positive report on Ralphy's progress:
He came out of his coma, and is slowly doing better. He is off the ventilator,
and breathing on his own. he has no fever or infections, and all his vital
signs are good. They moved him out of ICU to a respiratory therapy room to
strengthen his lungs. He has a feeding tube into his stomach and the trache
tube is still in his throat, so he can not speak. However, he did smile for
us yesterday when we read him some of the comments in the guest book. He
also lifted his arms. He gets range of motion exercises for his arms. In
about 1 month he may be moved to an acute care facility to begin rehab. It
will be a long road back, and it is a miracle that he is alive. Our family
thanks all of you for your prayers and goodwishes. We are planning a poets
party when he is well enough. The Haselmann family December 16, 01 It's only elliott checking in on you and hoping you'll be feeling
better by X-mas. I look forward to when you can post one of your poems on
my website. You'll be in my thoughts thru the holidays Ralph. get well soon//

to. Hope you like Heather Eatman. I think you'll enjoy it. Get better soon,
buddy. Dear Ralph, We need your force, your zen, back on the poetry
scene. I added a fire-breathing dragon to my website. He wants you to get
well and drop by soon and you know what happens if you make a dragon angry.
So get well and me and the dragon will be waiting for you. Hi Ralph, I know that your parents are reading these messages
to you, and I know that you can hear their words. You might not even remember
me, but you gave one of my poems a chance by posting it on your website at
the beginning of the year. It was a tribute to John Lennon (December 8, 1980).
I want you to know that us writers need your spirit to stay with us. We have
never met, but I have visited your site often. Stay brave and willful. Come
home, as poetry has missed you. I just received your book, "Scattershot Haze," which I'm looking
forward to reading. Please continue to fight the good fight. You can do it.
Miss you Ralph- I call your mother every few weeks and send
updates out about you-the service you provided to the small press is sorely
missed..wishing you a full recovery-and hope we can work together again Ralphy!! Hang in there man! Don't forget the Moon Glows For
You! Mike Hang in there, buddy. I haven't forgotten about you. Dealing with L.M. convinces me more and more that what you are
all about is Energy. Still struggling. Love & Peace Circulo Poetico Republicano
Apartado 2117 09080-Burgos-Atapuerca (Spain) Ralph, it's so *wonderful* to hear that you are doing better!
Keep it up - we're all rooting for you!! So glad to have some news of you. You are in my thoughts and
prayers or, as we Quakers say, I am holding you in the light. I went to a
meditation session this week lead by a Korean Zen master. He showed us some
of the traditional "Ox-herding pictures" and pointed out that in one the
moon had moved from the sky. "Moon Inside." He said. "Inside Moon.' Of course
I thought of you. Ah, dear, dear, lucid moon. We are looking forward to hearing
from you. Hoping for your ultimate recovery and all best ...the magman Hi Ralphy, just letting you know that my thoughts are with you.
Look forward to talking to you soon. a.d. Hi. First time I read your poetry, I totally fall in love with
it. Same time I read about the accident, and it's not fair. So many like
myself sometime hate life and it is so very precious. My prayers for your
healing and a little Poem to you Ralph : Once cursed, twice blessed, three
Marys floating ashore. The blessing I give is of time, and a rose, and TIME
YOU SHALL HAVE TO LOVE SOME MORE. To All Ralph,Jr's Friends: Ralph, Jr. is still in the Intensive
Care Unit (ICU)at Morristown Memorial Hospital. This is his 7th week there.
His vital signs are all good. He is starting to breathe on his own, with
some assist from the ventilator. He has a low grade temperature from various
infections. He is on antibiotics to quell them. He has been in a sleep state
- neurologist calls it a coma - trauma doctor calls it an ICU psychosis (brain
shuts down from all the noise, lights & activity after weeks in the ICU).
The good news is that he's starting to open eyes & focus on us a bit.
Doctor says this will continue for several weeks, but he is optimistic that
RJ will come out of this state. Please continue with prayers, we know they
are getting him through this tragic condition! Thank you all for your love
& concern through all of this. We make hard copies of all your messages
& read them to him daily. He opens his eyes occasionally & we all
feel he hears us. We also play his music. We're going to play his tapes,
etc. to bring him out of this. The doctors keep telling us to be PATIENT.
It's so hard.... Again, thank you all for your love - it helps sustain us!
The Haselmann Family - Nov. 28, 2001 Ralph- you have been in my prayers & thoughts. I hope your
condition is improving. Sorry I haven't made it out to visit . Be strong-
you are needed here! Peace and Love, Shodo still thinking about you Ralphy and hoping you are getting better!!!
peace fog This is just elliott checking in and wishing Ralph well. I switched
my web location so I am listing my new url for you to visit as soon as you
are well again. I'll be looking forward to seeing you there and pray for
your speedy recovery. my prayers and hopes are with you and your family//elliott Ralphy. We pray to God for you and your full recovery. Your
friends at HostPro/Interland (the people that host your website). Get well soon, Ralph and Shine On. Ralphy, Out of some of the worst experiences have some of the
greatest works emerged. There is so much poetry left for you to write. We
are all waiting on your words. Rochelle Everyone in the small press world is pulling for you, Ralph!
You made a big, loyal addition in the world of poetry, gave many the chance...hang
in there! Joyce & Wendell Woke up with a strange dream early this morning in which Ralphy
and I were engaged in hand to hand combat in some bar over the rights to
a poem. Which surprises me none. Hasn't he always been a gung ho fellow over
the art? Anyway, how's he doing? just to say... Ralphy, your work, your comments, your light have inspired me
through the death of my mother and the World trade center tragedy. I cannot
imagine what your family, and especially your parents, are going through,
but I do know that if you put your faith in God, no matter how things turn
out they will be for the best. You will make it, Ralphy, I know you will.
You are very strong. Poets have to be strong. They have much mediocrity and
suffering to conquer. You have already won, Ralph. You just don't know it.
Stay well!! i think your poems are great an i wish i could made some of
these pomes up for my self i dont know how to make a pome it was so hard

our prayers daily. Flying to NJ for Thanksgiving and will drop in to see
you. Speedy recovery. Mrs. T. Ralph, I know in my gut that this is just another hurdle for
you. Probably your biggest test so far, any other person may not be up for
the challenge but you're not any other person. You are gifted beyond words,
you're compassion for others is worldly beyond your years. You are a survivor,
You're spirit will carry you. Ralphy, I'm sorry for any misunderstandings
we have had in the past. To your life, your love and your good health. You're
in my daily thoughts. Love, Ross Dear Ralph, Just today checked out your website and was so sorry
to hear of your accident, I did pray for you, funny, I haven't been able
to pray for awhile but I found I was able to pray for you with all my heart
so, thank you. God needs to take care of poets, the world needs all we can
get. Hope someone will post a progress bulletin soon. God bless you Nancy
Henry Hey cus. It's been a while since I've checked out your site.
It's so amazing to read how much you're loved and appreciated. You touch
so many peoples lives. You better start getting better. Thata has no one
to yell at! We're all praying for you everyday. I love you. xoxoxoxoxo Hey there ralphy....I am currently in a school classroom and
I was thinking about my savior Jesus, I just happened to randomly select
your name out of list of poetry. I guess God wants my prayers with you. I
just want to say that you are in my prayers and I know that if you allow
God's will to come to you there is nothing to doubt or worry about. "you
of little faith, why did you doubt ME?" not that you are doubting anything
but i just write that so that you always remember that your father Jesus
is in charge and in control, you must allows allows have faith and trust
in HIM. He loves you so much. When you are in HIS hands there is nothing
to fear. "no eye has seen, no ears have heard..what GOD has prepared for
those who love HIM." he's always faithful and whatever HIS will may be it
will bless you. Just never stop loving him. Remember you dont' always have
to be able to understand and comprehend everything, you just need to know
that HE is always there standing there beside you. I read some of your poetry
and it is truly beautiful. The first poem )Lucid Mooon I thinkit was called)was
exceptional. I could feel every inch of it, i could feel it give me shivers
as I walked through the wilderness with you. Anyhow smile today. Any day
the good LORD allows you to open your eyes HE has got something special for
you to do. Jesus loves you. YOu are in my thoughts and prayers. IN HIM- Erin
Ellickson Dear Ralphy, Get better soon. I am sad to hear that you having
gotten hurt. The world needs your words. My prayers will have you in them
from now on. sincerely, Charles Portolano Just this moment found out the news of your accident. Came as
a major shock to me. Hoping that you have a quick recovery and my thoughts
and prayers are with you... John Gallo Black Spring Press Brother Ralph and family, I was doing a reading , and talked
about your website and your continued support of my work. Before I read poem
you published "Reflection Upon Evil" I was informed of your condition by
David Mesineo of Sensations Magazine. I was blown away. I was talking about
terrorism and when he told me about you I said how there are all kinds of
horror. My prayers are with you. You are a beacon of Love. I spent 5 weeks
in the hospital after an accident, I feel deeply for you and plan on visiting
if possible. Love- your brother in poetry, David Portolano Me, too, ya big galoot! I miss you, Ralphy! Ralph, Prayers are with you for a SPEEDY recovery. Why do bad
things happen to good people???? There's something for you to write about.
Thanks for your lovely reviews, your gracious comments, and the broadsides
you did for me. Get well and get back to work SOON! Caryl Traugott Ralphy, I'm so very utterly sorry to hear about your accident.
I'm filled with concern for your condition. You are an inspiration to all
of us who live, breathe and write poetry. Your energy, your zest, your determination
to live life freely and with love, no matter if that means that your live
against the grain of mainstream acceptance, is the very vitality of poetry
and passion. For you, but mostly for the rest of us, I pray for your safe
return to our haven of writing. Selene HONEYMOONER GLOW to Ralphy Like Mad Donna come back, keep on,
and keep comming back. Like her bag lady crazed eye, keep shining. The moon
is only as far from you as this. You are your own and holy I. Best wishes
for a speedy recovery. Keep on Keeping On! Dear Ralphy - Still praying for you every day and hope you're
feeling better and better as I write this. GET WELL SOON!!!! Love, Frannie I was very sorry to learn of your automobile accident, and hope
you have a full recovery. David Messineo, Publisher/Executive Editor, Sensations
Magazine I was very sorry to learn of your automobile accident, and hope
you have a full recovery. David Messineo Publisher/Executive Editor Sensations
Magazine Ralphy, I'm still praying for you, brother. I'm not really that
religious of a guy. But I'll bend the rules this time around. You write poetry
that people can feel. Not all that academic word play BS. Beside that, you
are a beautiful amorous soul with damn good taste in music! We gonna pull
through this. I promise. I am keeping only positive thoughts and prayers for Ralph. I
was computerless for awhile so forgive my staying away but I have kept you
in my heart and know that Ralph will get stronger because of the person he
is. Please let him know that elliott wishes him well and that I have my own
little site for him to visit when he's better. Even though I don't know you
my prayers are with your family. Dear Ralph(and family and hosts of friends) I was informed of
your plight by our good mutual friend, Doug Holder. It is obvious that you
are a figure of national prominence and presence in the literary/poetry world,
and I have noted the love and concern expressed by your many supporters.
Please add me to that list -- and I hope someday to communicate with you
in person! May the Almighty keep you in his care. Ralph, Please know that I fervently wish for your recovery.
I hope that you can soon put this terrible experience aside, that it will
be only a powerful memory from which to write. You have touched my life in
so special a way, whether or not you meant to, and I can see from this page
that you touch thousands of others with your thoughts and your words, every
day, from around the world. I hope you will have a pen in hand again shortly,
that you will be back at your keyboard before we can recite the ditty about
the man from nantucket. Please get well, and get well soon, Ralph. Ralphy, You are missed. Your poetry friends are all pulling
for you. Please let us know how you are doing. Rochelle Again, I cannot say this as asked in the worship of Jesus Christ,
as to me, Jesus was a Jewish Rabbi and not the Son of G-d. However, with
all my heart I G-d ask for a full and miraculous recovery, a refuah shlaymah
as we say, for Ralph. May he regain his strength and heal from the inside
out, and again enjoy the activities he enjoyed before this dreadful accident.
With all best wishes, Susie D. You're in my thoughts Ralph, you keep fighting hard sweetie,
you're needed. Be well Ralphie. A lot of people are praying for you. Ralph, My thoughts & prayers are with you & your family.

Wendell and I wish you a speedy recovery! Joyce from JVC BOOKS hi ralph; I can only hope you get well. do get well and back to
work. Dear Ralphy: My thoughts are with you for a speedy recovery.
You have many friends in the poetry world and I know like me that their good
thoughts are with you too. a.d. Hi there! I just bumped into your site, and I kind of enjoyed
it. Keep it up! :-) Au revoir! Take care! Dear Ralph, This is my first time visiting your site. I chuckled
at the illustration of the wolf at the entrance, and was rapidly dismayed
when I read about your accident. I keep you in my prayers. When you get better
(I am sure you will) I'd like to chat with you...I love your poetry and we
have the same taste in music! XOXO, Get well, blessings, Zoey Dear Ralph, so sorry to hear about your accident. You are in
our thought & prayers daily. You have wonderful family & friends
who support you. Just reading over your bio and all your friends comment,
you are truly blessed. May God bless you and heal you quickly. Mr & Mrs
Tomminelli, formerly your Norma Road neighbor. Thanks again to all of Ralph's friends and poetry colleagues
who have expressed their good wishes for his recovery. Regarding his accident,
his car had no airbag, and he was unable to use the seat belt due to his
girth. He was driving alone,11:30 AM, bent down to pick up a water bottle
on the passenger floor. We believe he pulled the wheel to the left, and inadvertently
stepped on the accelerator. His car crossed the oncoming lane, on our street
- he was 4 houses away from home - and jumped the curb and hit a pine tree.
We estimate that his speed was 50+ MPH, as the car was totalled, and the
tree was 4 feet into the hood. We explained his surgeries in our prior entry.
As of 10/09/01, ralph has been on painkillers and sedatives - morphine -
so that he can heal from his surgeries. He has not been awake for us to talk
with him. He is not in a coma, as the doctors have awakened him periodically
to do neurological tests. His brain and upper body respond perfecty. He is
on antibiotics for an infection. His fever at times hits 104, then subsides.
He is on a ventilator for ease of breathing until he gets stronger. His stitches
have been removed, and his forehead is healing. His vital signs remain strong
- heart, blood pressure, lungs, all other organs. He will remain in ICU for
6 weeks. He has excellent medical care. It will be a long and slow recovery.
We are optimistic that he will make it. Thank you all again for your prayers
and good wishes. Many of your cards, emails and poems are in his room on
his bulletin board. We look forward to the day when he reads them and realizes
how many friends he has made through poetry. You are his world. How about a Ralph update and details about his car wreck? Doesn't
sound like he was driving to go through the windshield. Is he cognizant?
Thanks. Hey, Ralphy - There's a beautiful yellow crescent moon tonight.
Thinking of you. Frannie. Ralphy, Hope each day brings more and more improvement. I just
ordered your book, "Scattershot Haze," and am looking forward to the read.
Hang in there. Hey Ralphy - Just wanted to let you know that I pray for your
speedy recovery daily. Hang in there. Your friend, Frannie Ralph, Stay strong and don't quit! You are in my thoughts and
prayers (and I'm not even the religious sort). Take care and get well. I
know you have more decades of poetry in you. - Matt Hey, Ralph, I'm going to dub a tape or two for you. Give you
something to listen to while all those parts are knitting back together.
You'll have to wait until you get out of ICU, though. I don't know if the
other patients would appreciate the Bonzo Dog Band. Get well, buddy. Dear Friends of Ralph, Jr. Thank you so much for your kind prayers
and thoughts for my brother, Ralph, Jr. Words cannot express the appreciation
we have for all who have written in this guestbook praying for Ralph. Ralph
is still in ICU and will be there for many weeks. It is hard to believe that
10 days have already passed. It is ironic that after the joy of seeing his
first book: Wounded Heart,Naked Soul---published just a few short months
ago, Ralph Jr. would undergo heart surgery and many other procedures/operations.
Please,Please continue to support Ralph Jr. through prayers. Each of you
have touched Ralph in some way, as well. May he be able to reach out to you
via the poems he has written. Ralph Jr. had 2 poetry books published recently.
The 1st book, Wounded Heart,Naked Soul was printed in the Spring containing
the first collection of poems Ralph Jr. wrote over a ten year period. Two
of the many touching poems: Angel Watch Over Me and Chasing Rainbows are
just several of the many beautiful poems Ralph has written. Many of the peoms
in the book; Wounded Heart, Naked Soul portray the essence of honesty, humor
and sorrow universal to human nature. The second book recently published
is titled: Scattershot Haze (it is a tribute to the beat poets). Please,
Please, continue to support Ralph Jr.'s work by purchasing these books. Both
books can be ordered through Xlibris Corporation at 1-888-7-XLIBRIS, Orders@XLIBRIS.com
(4962-HASE)for Wounded Heart,Naked Soul and double check the 4 digit # for
Scattershot Haze when ordering. Thank you so much for your prayers and support
for my brother. With Love and hope for Ralph's healing, Chris & Cam (sisters)&

vicki Ralph - Our prayers are with you. I know you are on your way
to healing. Love is surrounding you. Kathleen and Jack from ABSTRACTS Hi Ralph, Get well soon! All of us at Author's Den wish you
well. My prayers are with you. my sincere wishes of a quick recovery please be at your best
- we all need you very much Dear Ralph, I am so sorry to hear of your accident. May the
Son of Righteousness arise with healing in his wings for you. I will keep
you in my prayers. God Bless You, Richard Cambridge Thank you to all who have sent their prayers and good wishes
to Ralph Jr. They are working ! He is doing well. So far Ralphy has endured:
a 4 hour heart operation-aorta bypass; 100 stitches on his forehead (went
through winshield); tracheostomy - still has tube in throat for better breathing;
a filter placed in vein, to prevent clots; and 9 PM Saturday nite, he had
a 4 hour hip surgery to repair a cracked socket, he came through this excellently.
He will be on anesthesia for a while. He still has no feeling in his legs,
but we are optimistic that this may improve with therapy. His vital signs
are strong, all organs - no damage, no infection, good blood pressure. 85%
of patients never make it this far. Doctors are pleased. Ralph is strong,
he is a fighter. Keep up the good wishes, it will mean a lot to Ralphy. It
will be a long road back, but your thoughts and wishes will sustain him.
He is in ICU of Morristown Memorial Hospital, Madison Avenue, Morristown,
NJ 07962 Ralph, Although we've never "met", I have visited your lovely
site. I pray that just as Jesus calmed the winds and the waves, may he calm
your soul and heal your body. I strongly believe in the power of prayer~so
I know that with all the people who are praying for you, you best be prepared
to be up and posting your poetry real soon!!! God Speed May Ralph have a refuah shlaymah, as we say in Hebrew, a "complete
recovery". May he again have ruach l'chayim, the breath of life, in all he
does. I don't worship Christ, as you asked for in people's responses - I'm
a Jew (which of course Christ was, a rabbi actually), but I wanted to express
my thoughts and prayers for his recovery. Susie Ralph, as soon as I heard about your accident, I came here.
Prayers sent your way from me Always, I was shocked to hear of your terrible accident, and join the
many others in hoping and praying for your recovery. Love your website! Ralphy, Words escape me at this time. Some things, I know, are
yet beyond all our tales at the moment. But if there ever is anything I can
do to lend a hand through the miles that separate us please let me know.
God bless. My prayers go forth to you and your family. Peace. Sincerely,
"Bill The Old Hack." heartfelt good wishes for your recovery. may you be surrounded
by love. peace, cynthia Ralph, That soul of yours that rides the cosmic rays, That soul
of yours, soothsaying and strong, Pumps the plum-red blood of poetry and
lucidity Striking each cell, rekindling each cell, guiding Each cell back
into the cosmic harmony that is you. Dear Ralph, God be with you in this time of suffering. I was
shocked to hear of your accident. I believe you will get thru this, and be
all the stronger for it. Please know I will keep you in my prayers. Peace
and Recovery, Monica Ralph, I am very troubled to hear of your collision, but am
also relieved to see that you have such a loving family and large network
of friends who are supporting you and keeping your spirits buoyed. My family
helped me through the recovery after I had (what sounds like) a similar accident
several years ago. My father in particular (who was himself killed two weeks
ago in a fender-bender) held my hand through my most terrifying hospital
days. You've got my email if you want to talk about any of the difficulties
this experience will bring. Or if you just need someone to listen. You survived
so much already, Ralph, even before this terrible experience. I know from
your poetry that this is not the first time you have encountered great pain,
and I know from reading your words that you will find a way to get past the
difficult times that will be ahead. I'm still honored that you published
my poetry last Spring. You wouldn't have seen it in my work, but I am a practical
person. I hope you won't be insulted by a bit of advice. Be prepared - your
life will be very scary and frustrating in the months ahead - I learned from
my own experience that it is humbling to be uncertain about whether you will
see again or walk again, or to wonder what your face will look like. Stay
close to your loved ones and take good care of yourself. I send you my sincerest
support and good wishes, and hope that you are home soon, Ralph. Dear Ralphy: This prayer's for you, and you're deserving of
countless others from us whom you've helped over the years. May God smile
on you now in your time of need as you did for me back a few years ago when
I was just starting out along the uncharted path of writing poetry. Your
inspiration and unselfishness were a priceless gift for which I've never
adequately thanked you. May you soon return to your post, strong and wise,
helping others find their way. Bless you. Bill Roberts Sorry to learn of the accident. I had earlier e-mailed you thanking
you for the two books you sent me, and pointing out what I thought were several
outstanding poems in your tribute to the Beats book. I'm not a religious
person, but my thoughts go out to you for a speedy and full recovery. You
have contributed a great deal to the poetry scene and perhaps not enough
people have told you this. I don't visit guessbook sites often. Jack Micheline
was the first one and now you. Get well soon. a.d. winans Ralphy, You are in my prayers. We need poets now more than ever
before, and poetry will pull you through. I know that the future looks brighter
than today and that you have the strength to come through this. Things will
get better. Nanci Dear Ralph, We were shocked to hear about your terrible accident.
We wish you complete and speedy recovery. Lainie and Harris To Ralphy's family: Please send me the name and address of the
hospital. I would like to send him a card. No wonder it's been such a frantic full moon this last week,
and all the wild critters singing to it. All best wishes to you, Ralph, and
to your loving family. Okay, Ralph, I'm not a Christian but I just made a big boo-hoo
prayer to Jesus for your big ass. When you get better I'll come by and take
you out to dinner, alright? Better let me drive. I love ya, you big lump. To Ralphy's Family: Would you please send me the name/address
of the hospital. Would like to send something. Maybe a stuffed moon, I don't
know. God bless you. Frannie LeMoine Dearest Ralphy, Don't know what to say. Sent you a couple of
emails this weekend and when you didn't respond in your usual speedy fashion,
I KNEW something was up. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers until
you are well again. And PLEASE get well again. I need you. WE need you. All
my love, Frannie LeMoine May you recover your wings. May you stay or fly according to
His plan .May you be blessed as you have blessed. If we should meet on a distant
plain, I will recognize you by your Love...much much Love Ariegaw.....aka
Lori...I will be praying for you. Don't worry. Everything will work out fine, no matter what seems
to happen. Find the blessing that hides in the experience. Namaste. oh moon shine brightly on this brave heart this good man the
voice we so need I am so saddened to hear this news (through Doug Holder and
then reading Chris' moving words.) You were the very first editor to take
a chance on publishing me two years ago--your kindness and work sparked a
chain that has now seen hundreds of poems published and reverberates in astonishing
ways. I too have admired your courage and preserverance and smiled at your
loving mentions of family and friends, the balance of humor and strength
in your work. You are in my prayers. I wish I could do something more to
help. Very sorry to hear about your accident. My thoughts & prayers
are with you. "There's a tremendous fire in the garden of war... embassadors
come with fire extinguishers and water, they extinguish the lives of those
who fall in their traps, and give water to the dead who are no longer thristy..."
Ralph, you've get to survive to tell the story of these trying times. We
all have to, for there is history in the making and we are the scribers of
these events. Wishing you the best. I have enjoyed your web site before and
am so sorry to hear of your trouble. What a shock to see this..Ralph is a friend, who has helped
me with my poetry projects, and is a talented, caring person. He has taken
a lot of hard knocks, but still keeps on kicking, and I pray to God he will
now-Doug Holder Ralphy, You have been such an example of strength, courage,
and honesty for all of us who have been fortunate enough to read your poems
and to have been the happy, lucky recipients of your unselfish promotion
of our work. I have long admired you for your honesty and courage. Please
know how much you are cared for and respected and grace us with your poems
and kindnesses again. Rochelle Hope Mehr Ralph - Your kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit has inspired
me and encouraged souls of people you have never met. You have stood strong,
spoken loud, and played hard in the world of poetic experience and love.
We send our deepest love to you that you travel this road of healing like
you have lived your life - with vitality and passion, the Ralphy way... Your
brother with love, Brad a necessary ingredient in the wonderful casserole of life for
us poets---but i feel you are very stron in spirit and will fight through--my
thoughts are with you , my friend!!! Ralph---my prayers are with you and your family at this time--stay
with us--your love and support has been such a necessary ingredient Thanks. My thoughts & prayers are with you Ralphy! Ralphy, Tonight I will pray that God will give you more time
to live and create. Your enthusiasm for my work has touched me more than
you know. Writing is a solitary business, and writers don't always see the
fruits of their labors. But for the past couple of years, I had you in my
cheering section. You let me know that my work moved you in some ways. And
I was happy that all my labor was not in vain. I pray that God will pull
you through. My prayers and thoughts, Ashley Morris To all of Ralph's poetry friends, my brother,Ralph Jr. was in
a very serious Auto accident on Monday mid-morning, October 8, 2001. My parents,
sister and I ask everyone to please pray with all of your might and reverence
for my brother. Pray very hard that the Lord allows him to continue with
his gifted insight and poetry. Please pray for Ralph Jr., as he is only in
God's hands now. This is not a joke. I am Ralph's sister, Chris, and cannot
figure out how to reach everyone he keeps in contact with so I am writing
in his Guestbook to tell you that because of his accident he has not been
able to do the Poem of the Day which many of you look forward to. I am writing
to everyone who has supported my brother, inspired him and who reads his
most recent addition/section- "Poems of the day...." Please, Please, pray
for Ralph Jr., his life and his gift to all of you. Your love is needed through
prayer to sustain Ralph's life. If he has touched you with his poetry in
some way, Please, Please pray for him, his recovery and his future. With
love in the Risen Lord, Jesus, whose peace surpasses all understanding, we,
his family, beg of you to pray for our brother, my parent's only son, Ralph
Haselmann,Jr. (Ralphy). With hope and love that all who care about Ralph
receive this, you may respond by signing/sending your support on this guestbook
so that if the Lord decides not to take Ralph to everlasting life, he may
one day read your inspiring words, prayers or thoughts to sustain him through
the long recovery that awaits him. With love in Christ, please pray for Ralph

wonder why I never received the contributor's copy for the two pieces of

been writing a bit of poetry myself (I'm a romance novelist)and was inspired
to do so by one of your contributors, Jacob (Fog) Erin. Isn't his new book
(Penguins and Other Matters of Black and White) wonderful! The reviews have
been great and well deserved. Keep up the good work! Sandy Hi Ralph! I was cruising along the information super highway

Thank you. See: www.holy-secrets.com See also: www.webruler.com/torah I loved the lucid moon essay. I have published seven books and
40 poems and over 300 articles in 20 newspapers and magazines over the last
20 years. I am glad to know a web site like this has sprung-up. It gives
writers the chance to indulge their need to express themselves and clean
their artistic plate. Perhaps a magazine can come of this, something quarterly
at first, and that would really give the academic journals (THE NEW YORKER,
GETTYSBURG REVIEW) a run for their money, and motivate the more amateurish
journals to accept and demand more interesting and powerful work. Thanks
Ralphy for your unabashed support of poetry. My dream after over 100 featured
and open mike readings is to take poetry into the smoke-filled arenas and
stadiums where rock and roll reigns supreme. What do you think? heart of midlothian football club Just surfing by-looking for possible homes for some of my poetry.A
frustrating experience-between the stuck up "literary excellence only" academy
of fine quirks and the "loon- june" amateaur hour. I found the poems in Lucid
Moon to be a refreshing happy medium(which I believe my own fit in the same
category).I've had about fifteen poems published in the small press since
the early '80's but I've yet to gather up the nerve to send out poems via
the net (I'm still somewhat computer illiterate)Dare I venture into the 21st
century I'll give you a try-meanwhile--keep up the great work. Dear Ralph: Haven't contacted you in a few years now. Sorry,
but I have lapses like that (no drugs involved). I used to send you material
under my pseudonym, Bartlett Boswell, and you published quite a lot of it,
for which I remain thankful. Been publishing away, as Bill Roberts, and if
it's okay, will send you a few updated samples. It appears you've been doing
well, and I wish you continued success with your endeavors. You've been a
great help and supporter of many of us poetry peddlers. Thanks again. We visited this site looking for hints and ideas for a project
for my son for school. He is about to graduate 6th grade and is performing
in a "Beatnik Coffee House" celebration for the end of school. I must say
I was surprised when I realized how much time had passed while I was visting
the site. Ryan really liked the poem titled, Punk Rock Ryan. I think we have
our ideas now. Great work and inspiration. Robin and Ryan PS-Ryan says, "Mom's

readers! What's your email address? Wanted to thank you for your kind
review of Bourbon Skin and to submit some moon poetry to you. Overwhelmed, just overwhelmed! Came looking for a Suzanne Burns,
but didn't find her. If she is there, tell me where - please. Ralphy, Love the web-site! Am adding it to my favorites and
looking forward to reading more upcoming poems. Keep 'em coming! Take care
and ciao for now... ;-) Clicked over here from Poesy Mag Homepage (www.geocities.com/bmorrise2/).
Very nice bit of work. I too am an editor, but the print kind, run a mag
called Cranial Tempest and am always interested in seeing what other people
are doing in small press publishing, both in print and on the net. Also,
always looking for new poets and writers. Hey, nice site, keep up the good
work. So impressed with your brief, lucid poetry reviews that I've
decided to add them to my BOOKZEN: Free Book Information web site, home of

'hard hitting enough' to check out the archives. Lyn Lifshin and Anna Christy,
just off the top of my head for example, aren't exactly light hitters...

Janice - Publisher hello. Great site. i like it alot. enough saidreach for he moonyour
friendMEL Dave Taylor's "Dream" is a good poem, with vivid imagery and
a unique concept, but it doesn't compare to the other poems of his that I've
read. I would definately recommend his work, maybe not this poem, but more
of his later poetry. I stumbled upon your great site. There's some really nice work.
I really liked that "Dream" poem by David Taylor. There was something about
it that spoke to me. Dear son, just a note to let you know how very proud I am of
your creative endeavors (at least the clean stuff). You have obviously inherited
my poetry gene, but your imagery and flowery language far surpasses any of
my feeble efforts. By the way, I don't see any of my poems on the website!!
Continued success. With perseverence, I know you will soon publish your
poetry books. Just in time. Your mother and I are ready to retire. Love Dad. Hi Ralph, Thanks for taking all my poems. I was surprised to
find you were taking all of t hose. This is a cool website you got going
here. Your website is wonderful -- a friend told me about it, and
it was all he said. Sandy Hi Ralph, Thanks for putting my moon poems up on your February page. Great site! Keep up the great work. Jewelmoon Hi, Ralph...very sorry to learn that Lucid Moon, the paper edition,
has been suspended, but at least your publication lives on the web. I wish
you much luck and success. You have a wonderful site. take care... Ralph, Good going on your Internet site! Although I am sorry
to see Lucid Moon suspended in paper form, at least it continues in another.
Nothing should ever truly die. I know from experience that you only accept
work that meets a high criteria. Don't stop that; be cruel if you have to.
No one ever attains greatness without pain and, sometimes blood.Yours respectfully,Jeffrey Sean Reagan's poem EVERYTHING I KNOW seems to me a pretty spectacular
piece of work. It's in the Moon Poems section, if anyone else cares to have
his or her heart broken in about three places. Beautiful, Sean. Hi, Ralphy! Now you're "the hardest working editor on the internet!"
Your site's the first place I visit when I sign on. Looking forward to all
your new enterprises and projects. Best from a fan! Ralph- Thanks for the fine job on the Coe article. You are developing
avaluable archive of interviews, and other material. Stay the course...Did
your recieve the Corso piece? TO A LONG TIME FRIEND.........Wishing you much success!!! Don't
let the B.S. world get to you. It's only the REAL PEOPLE AND POETS THAT MATTER!!!!
You've always done great work Ralphie and friends to many out here. A LEADER of poetry zines (Lucid Moon) now appears on the Net...wishing
you much success Ralphie. Ralph~ Nice work. I still don't see my site listed on your links

better. I do think it's a little soft. I can understand the no racism, etc.
part but maybe things should be a little more personal. Hopefully Ralphy
will put some of my poems on his page and it will hit more people closer
to home. "Sucks bad" is incorrect. The proper way to express your regrettable
opinion is "sucks badly." Malcontents and critics, where can we find your
